A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
A PORTION OF LAKE MING ROAD, SOUTH OF
ALFRED HARRELL HIGHWAY, IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of September, 1978, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 937 declaring its intention
to order the vacation of a portion of Lake Ming Road, south of
Alfred Harrell Highway, in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation which said hearing was held on the llth day of October,
1978, after notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That a portion of Lake Ming Road, south of Alfred
Harrell Highway in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, more particularly described as follows, is unneces-
sary for present or prospective public street purposes:
A portion of the south half of Section 4,
Township 29 South, Range 29 East, M.D.B.& M.
in the City of Bakersfield County of Kern,
State of California, more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of said
Section 4, thence northerly along the west
line of said Section 4, north l°09'19" west,
1100.93 feet to a point on the southerly
right-of-way line of county road No. 2239 lying
115 feet southerly as measured at right angles
to the centerline of said county road 2239;
thence along said southerly right-of-way line,
south 86o40'44" east, 1394.017 feet to the true
point of beginning; thence continuing along
said southerly right-of-way line south 81°
06'24" east, 617,919 feet, thence south 03°
22'42" west, 178.590 feet, thence south 49°
34'46" west, 405.000 feet, thence south 40°
25'14" east, 180,.000 feet,..thence north49°
34'46" east, 520.000 feet, thence north 70°
39'50" east, 737.564 feet, thence south 89°
21'10" east, 964.640 feet, thence departing
from said.southerly right-of-way line, north
88~42'19'' west, 1131.179 feet, thence parallel
with, and 115 feet southerly from. the center-
line of county road No. 2239., north 86°40'44''
west, 1336.119 feet more or less to the True
Point of Beginning.
Containing 6.02 acres more or less.
2. That a portion of Lake Ming Road, south of Alfred
Harrell Highway, be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and
abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and in conformity
with the reservations and exceptions contained in and contemplated
.by said Resolution of Intention No. 937. Reference to said
Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particular's.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
'this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the llth day of October, 1978, by the following
