RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
· BAKERSFIELD ENDING AND REDESIGNATING A
DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY AREA TO
INCLUDE ADDITIONAL AREA.
WHEREAS, the City Council on December 26, 1967, by Resolu-
tion No. 103-67, did designate a Redevelopment Survey Area in Downtown
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the City Council on April 3, 1972, by Resolution
No. 17-72, amended and redesignated the said Redevelopment Survey
Area to include additional area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved and adopted on August
14, 1972, by Ordinance No. 2033 N.S., the Redevelopment Plan for the
Downtown Bakersfield Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS,' the City Council on May 13, 1974, by Resolution
No. 36-74, again amended and redesignated survey area to include
additional area; and
WHEREAS, the Cit~ Council approved and adopted November 25,
1974, amendments to the Redevelopment Plan, which amendments include
providing for the addition of land to the Downtown Bakersfield
Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council on December 22, 1975, by Resolu-
tion No. 82-75, again amended and redesignated said Redevelopment
Survey Area to include additional area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved and adopted on August 20,
1976, by Ordinance No. 2291 N.S., amendments to the Redevelopment
Plan, which amendments include providing for the addition of land
to the Downtown Bakersfield R~development Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires that said Redevelopment
survey area again be amended and redesignated to include additional
area, and that such additional area be studied to determine if an
expansion of the Redevelopment Project Area to include all or part
of said additional area is feasible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council hereby amends and redesignates the
Downtown Redevelopment Survey Area in the City of Bakersfield to
include the additional area illustrated on the map attached hereto
and labelled as Exhibit "A".
2. The City Council hereby finds that said additional
area requires study to determine if an expansion of the Downtown
Bakersfield Redevelopment Project Area to include all or part of
said additional area is feasible.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 23d day of August, 1978, by the following
vote:
