81-78:
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING.THE VACATION OF
PUBLIC UTILITIES EASEMENTS IN LOTS 18-20
IN ORANGE VILLA TRACT LOCATED NORTH OF
BERNARD STREET AND WEST OF MOUNT VERNON
AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 28th day of June, 1978, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public
Service Easements Vacation Law," being Sections 50430 to 50445,
inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of California,
passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 934 declaring
its intention to order the vacation of public ~ervice easements,
also referred to herein as public utilities easements, situated in
Lots 18-20 in Orange Villa Tract located north of Bernard Street
and west of Mount Vernon Avenue, in the qity of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation which said hearing was held on the 26th day of July, 1978,
after notices were duly posted as required by law;,and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve 'as follows:
1. That said public service easements also referred to
herein as public utilities easements, hereinafter described, are
unnecessary for present or prospective public use:
A, parcel of land situate in the City
of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, and being a portion of Section
21, T 29 S, R 28 E, M.D.M., more particu-
larly described as follows:
The westerly 54'feet of the easterly 109
feet of Lots 18, 19 and 20 of Orange
Villa Tract, as said Tract is shown in
Book 2 of Maps at page 42, filed February
15, 1912, in the office of the Kern County
Recorder.
2. That said public service easements be and the same
are hereby vacated and abandoned for public service easement pur-
poses, subject to and in conformity with the reservation of the
easements contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of
Intention No. 934. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is
hereby made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of.this
resolution, and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 26th day of JUiy ....... , 1978, by
