RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO INCLUDE WITHIN
THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE
DISTRICT A PORTION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS ANNEXATION NO. 258 ('MANOR
NO. 2) AND SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE INCLUSION OF SAID
TERRITORY WITHIN SAID DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been commenced for the annexa-
tion of certain unincorporated territory, designated as Annexation
No. 258 (Manor No. 2) to the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, a portion of said territory lies outside the
Greater Separation of Grade District; and
WHEREAS, Section 8290 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, provides that the unincorporated
territory of a county which was not included within a separation
of grade district at the time of the formation of such district,
and which subsequent to the formation of such district is annexed
to or otherwise included within a city which is a part of such
district, shall immediately upon such annexation to such city be
included within the district and shall thereafter become a part
of the district to the same extent as such city; except such por-
tion or portions thereof which the City Council has determined,
will not be benefited by inclusion in the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
1. That a description of the unincorporated territory
described in the annexation proceedings, is marked Exhibit "A"
and attached hereto.
2. That unless any portion shall be excluded by the
City Council, all portions of said unincorporated territory
shall, upon annexation to the City of ~akersfield, be included
within the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District.
3. That Wednesday, the 6th day of September, 1978, at
the hour of 8 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when
and the place where, objections to inclusion within the district
will be heard.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 26th day of July, 1978, by the following
vote:

Annexation No. 258
A parcel of land situate in the COunty of Kern, State of California, and being
a portion of Sections 8, 17 and 18, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.M. and
being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of the
Northeast Quarter of said Section 18; thence along the. West line of
said Northeast Quarter, N. 1° 40' 22" W. 306.36 feet to a point
on a non-tangent curve concave to the Southwest, having a radius
of SO0 feet, from which point the radial of said curve bears
S. 32° 12' 46" W, said point also being in the exterior Corporate
Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; thence, Southeasterly along
said curve, through a central ang~ of 18° 28' 49", an arc length
of 161.27 feet; thence, S. 39~ 18' 2S" E., 400 feet to the True
Point of Beginning;

departing from said Corporate BoUndary, Northeasterly
in a direct line 920 feet; more or less, to intersect
the West line of the East 190 feet of the East half of
the'Northwes~ Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said
Section 18 with the'North line of the South 320 feet of
Northwest Quarter of said Northeast Quarter;

Northeasterly, in a direct line, 770 feet, more or less,
to intersect the East line of the West 280 feet of the
Northeast Quarter of the Northeast ~uarter of said
Section 18 with the South line of the North 4.60 feet of
the last named Section;

Northeasterly, in a direct line, 560 feet, more or less,
to intersect the'West line of the East 570 feet of said
Northeast Quarter of said Section 18 with the South line
of the North 270 feet of said Section; '

to intersect the East line of the Southwest Quarter of
the Southwest Quarter of said Section 8, with the North
-line of the South 35 feet of last named Section;
