A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD APPROVING AND
ADOPTING THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR 1978-1979.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Charter of the City of
Bakersfield and applicable ordinances, the City Manager and the
Assistant City Manager (Finance) have heretofore presented to the
City Council a proposed Operating Budget (consisting of operating
materials and charges, and departmental capital outlay or fixed
assets) for the fiscal year 1978-1979; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were held in the Council Chambers
of the City of Bakersfield on the proposed Operating Budget for the
fiscal year 1978-1979; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has now considered the said
proposed budget as so submitted and all evidence at said public
hearing, with reference thereto, and has now made all changes and
amendments thereto which said Council, up to this time, desire to
make therein; and
WHEREAS, the original of said proposed budget has now been
revised so as to reflect each and all of the amendments, changes,
and modifications which the said Council, up to this time, believes
should be made in said proposed budget as so submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield does
hereby resolve and offer as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the original of the said proposed Operating Budget for
the City of Bakersfield, California, for the fiscal year 1978-1979,
as so submitted, amended, modified and corrected and which as so
submitted, amended, modified and corrected, is now before this Council,
be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City, open
to public inspection, and that as so on file the same be and is hereby
referred to and by this reference expressly incorporated herein and
made a part hereof.
SECTION 2.
That the Council of the City of Bakersfield does'hereby
approve and adopt the said proposed Operating Budget of the City of
Bakersfield, California, for the fiscal year 1978-1979, as so
amended, modified and corrected.
SECTION 3.
That the said budgets for the fiscal year 1978-1979 so
submitted, amended, modified, corrected and filed, shall bethe
Operating Budget for the City of Bakersfield, California, for the
fiscal year 1978-1979, as contemplated to be-made by this Council
under the requirements of Section 53 of the Charter of said City.
SECTION 4.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and henceforth and hereafter, the same shall be i.n full
force and effect.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a special
meeting thereof held on the 14th day of June, 1978, by,bhe following
vote:
