RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DESIGNATING CHIEF OF THE
BAKERSFIELD FIRE. DEPARTMENT AND HIS
AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES AS THE ISSUING
AUTHORITY WITHIN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
FOR EXPLOSIVE PERMITS.
WHEREAS, Section 12007 of the Health 'and Safety Code
provides that the governing body of a city shall designate the
issuing authority in its jurisdiction for explosive permits, and
that if no such designation is made, the State Fire Marshall shall
designate the sheriff of the county as the issuing authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield
resolves as follows:
1. That the Chief of the Bakersfield Fire Department
and his authorized representatives are hereby designated as the
issuing authority within the City of Bakersfield, for explosive
permits, pursuant to Section 12007(a) of the Health and Safety
Code.
2. That the Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified
copy of this resolution to the State Fire Marshall, 7171 Bowling
Drive, Suite 800, Sacramento, California 95823.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 29th day of March , 1978, by
the following vote:
