A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
THE ALLEY IN BLOCK .325 BETWEEN EYE STREET
AND CHESTERAVENUE, IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 1st day of February, 1978, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 929, declaring its intention to order
the vacation of the alley in Block 325 between Eye Street and
Chester Avenue, in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 22d day of February, 1978, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the alley in Block 325 between Eye Street and
Chester Avenue, in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, more particularly described as follows, is unnecessary
for present or prospective public street purposes:
A parcel of land situate in the Cityof Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, being a portion
of Section 30, Township 29 South, Range 28 East,
M.D.B.& M., and more particularly described as
follows: ~
All of the alley of 33.00 feet in width in Block
325, as said Block 325 is shown on a Map of the
City of Bakersfield filed in the office of the
County'Recorder of said Kern County on Novembe~ 25,
1898.
Excepting and reserving the south 30 feet of said
alley for Public Utilities Easement purposes.
Containing 0.20 acres, more or less.
2. That said alley in Block 325 between Eye Street and
Chester Avenue, be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and
abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and in conformity
with the reservations and exceptions contained in and contemplated
by said Resolution of Intention No. 929. Reference to said Resolu-
tion of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 22d day of February, 1978, by the follow-
ing vote:
