A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DESIGNATING ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES
TO CARRY OUT PROVISIONS OF THE Z'BERG-KAPILOFF
SOLID WASTE CONTROL ACT OF 1976.
WHEREAS, the County of Kern and the incorporated cities
therein, are required by Section 66796 of the Government Code to
designate an enforcement agency or enforcement agencies, to carry
out the provisions of the Z'berg-Kapiloff Solid Waste Control Act
of 1976; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield desires to designate an

enforcement agency for the y s solid waste handling operation
(the collection, transportation, storage, transfer, or processing of
solid wastes) and a separate enforcement agency for the solid waste
disposal operation (the final deposition of solid wastes), 'pursuant
to subsection (3) of Section 66796 of'the Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the Development Services Department of the City
of Bakersfield and the Kern County Health Department are hereby
designated as the enforcement agency to carry out the provisions of
the Z'berg-Kapiloff Solid Waste Control Act of 1976 for the solid
waste handling operation of the City of Bakersfield.
2. That the Kern County Public Works Department and the
Kern County Health Department are hereby designated as the enforce-
ment agency to carry out the provisions of the'Z'berg-Kapiloff Solid
Waste Control Act of 1976 for the solid waste disposal operation.
3. That the City Clerk shall forthwith transmit certified
copies of this Resolution to the State Solid Waste Management Board
in the Resources Agency, to the Kern County Board of Supervisors,
to the Public Works Department and Health Department of the County
of Kern, to the Development Services Department of the City of
Bakersfield and to any other person or agency designated by the
Public Works Director of the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of February , 1978, by the
following vote:
