RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
AMENDING SECTION 6 OF RESOLUTION NO. 92=77, PROVIDING
FOR VOTING PRECINCTS, POLLING PLACES AND OFFICERS OF
ELECTION FOR SPECIAL ELECTION FOR ANNEXATION OF KERN
CITY.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 92-77, adopted on September 21,
1977, provided in Section 6 thereof, for the establishment of one
consolidated voting precinct consisting of precincts KERN CITY 1
and KERN CITY 2 and named the polling place and officers of election
for said consolidated precinct; and
WHEREAS, due to consolidation of said annexation election
with the Kern Union High School District bond election, it is neces-
sary to amend Section 6 of Resolution No. 92-77 to provide for two
precincts for the said annexation election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That Section 6 of Resolution No. 92-77 of the Council
of the City of Bakersfield shall be and is hereby amended to read as
follows:
SECTION 6.
For the purpose of said election there are hereby established
in the territory proposed to be annexed, two (2) voting precincts,
consisting of Kern County Election Precinct KERN CITY 1 and KERN
CITY 2, PORTION 1; (portion 1 being that portion of Kern City 2
located within the territory proposed to be annexed; portion 2 of
Kern City 2 being excluded for the purposes of this annexation. elec-
tion, being an island of unincorporated territory not included in the
territory proposed to be annexed).
The following are the polling places of said established
precincts and the following-named persons are hereby named officers
of election and shall constitute the board of election for such
precincts:
