RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE
GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE DISTRICT
A PORTION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS
"WIBLE NO. 2," AND SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE
FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE INCLUSION OF
SAID TERRITORY WITHIN SAID DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been commenced for the annexa-
tion of certain unincorporated territory, designated as "Wible No. 2,"
to the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, a portion of said territory lies outside the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District; and
WHEREAS, Section 8290 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, provides that the unincorporated terri-
tory of a county which was not included within a separation of grade
district at the time of the formation of such district, and which
subsequent to the formation of such district is annexed to or other-
wise included within a city which is a part of such district, shall
immediately upon such annexation to such city be included within the
district and shall thereafter become a part of the district to the
same extent as such city; except such portion or portions thereof
which the City Council has determined, will not be benefited by ..
inclusion in the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
1. That a description of the unincorporated territory
described in the annexation proceedings, is attached hereto and
marked Exhibit "A".
2. That unless any portion shall be excluded by the City
Council, all portions of said unincorporated territory shall, upon
annexation to the City of Bakersfield, be included within the Greater
Bakersfield Separation of Grade District.
3. That Wednesday, the 25th day of January, 1978, at the
hour of 8 P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501
Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the
place where, objections to inclusion within the district will be
heard.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 14th day of December, 1977, by the

ANNEXATION NO. 232
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, and
being a portion of Sections 13, 14, 23, 24 & 25, Township 30, Range 27 East,
M. D. B. & M., and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the north line of the south 30 feet of said
Section 23 with the west line of the east 30 feet of said Section 23;
Thence (1) northerly along the last named west line and the west line of the
east 30 feet of said Section 23 to intersect the south line of the N 1/2
of the S 1/2 of said Section 23, being a point on the Corporate Boundary
of the City of Bakersfield.
Thence (2) easterly and along the various courses of said Corporate Boundary
to a point which is the intersection of the east line of the west 30feet
of the SW 1/4 of said Section 13 with the north line of the S 1/2 of the
SW 1/4 of said Section 13;
Thence (3) southerly, departing from said Corporate Boundary, along the last
named east line and the east line of the west 30 feet of said Section 24
to .intersect the south line of the north 30 feet of said Section 24, being
also a point on the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (4] S 89° 19' 28" E, departing from said Corporate Boundary, along the
last named south line, 1534.63 feet, more or less, to intersect the east
right of way line of U. S. Highway Route 99 (VI-Ker-99], Bakersfield
By-Pass;
Thence (5) southerly along the last named east right of way. line the following
three courses; S 8° 27' 50" E, 398.40 feet; "
Thence (6) S 9° 47' 54" E, 500.23 feet;
Thence (7) S 11° 31' 00" E, 1767.91 feet to intersect the south line of the NW 1/4 of said Section 24;
Thence (8~ easterly along the last named south line, 541.64 feet, to intersect
the west line of the east 45 feet of the NW 1/4 of said Section 24;
Thence (9) northerly along the last named west line to intersect the south line
of the north 30 feet of said Section 24;
Thence (10) easterly along the last named south line to intersect the east line
of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 24;
Thence (11) southerly along-the ·last named east line to intersect the north
line of the south 40 feet of the N 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 24;
Thence (12) easterly along the last named north line to intersect the west line
of the east 30 feet of said Section 24;
Thence (13) southerly along the last named west line and the west line of the
-east 30 feet of sai~ Section 25, to intersect_the nort~_rig~t~_way line
the Arvin-Edison Water Storage District Canal, as said canal right-of-way
is defined in Parcel 1C-2 of that certain Order of Condemnation recorded
in Book 3840, at Page 291, Official Records' of said Kern County, said
intersection also bears S 0° 36' 48" E, along.the east line of said Section
25, 1156.44 feet and N 89~ 17' 04" W, 30 feet, from the northeast corner of
said Section 25;
Thence (14). westerly, along the last named north right of way line, the follow-
ing 6 courses; N 89~ 17',Q4" w, 755.57 feet, to the beginning of a tangent
curve, concave to the south with a radius of 610 feet;
