A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "WIBLE NO. 2," PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the 8th day of December, 1977, requesting that certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and incorporated within the City of Bakersfield; and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land in such territory, and representing not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of such territory according to the last-preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of Kern. NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows: WIBLE NO. 2 ~NE~TION NO. 232 A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, and being a portion of Sections 13, 14, 23, 24 & 25, To~ship 30, Range 27 East, ~. D. B. & M., and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the north line of the south 30 feet of said Section 23 with the west line of the east 30 feet of said Section 23; ~ence (1) northerly along the last named west line and the west line of the east ~0 feet of said Section 23 to intersect the south line of the N 1/2 of the S 1/2 of said Section 23, being a point on the Co~orate Bo~dary of the .City of Bakersfield. ~ence (2) easterly ~d along the various courses of said Co~orate Bounda~ to a point which is the intersection of the e~t line of the west 30 feet of the SW 1/4 of said Section 13 with the north line of the S 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of said Section 13; ~ence (~) southerly, departing from said Co~orate Boundary, along the last namd east line and the east line of the west 30 feet of said Section 24 to intersect the south line of the north 30 feet of said Section 24, being also a point on the Colorate Bounda~ of the City of Bakers field; ~ence (4) S 89~ 19' 28" E, departing from said Co~orate Boundary, along the last n~ed south line, 1534.63 feet, more or less, to intersect the east ri~t of way line of U. S. BE IT F~THER RESOL~D, that Wednesday, the 25th day of January, 1978, at the hour of 8 P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501 ~uxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the place where any person o~ing real property within such territory so proposed to be a~exed and having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of Bakersfield and show cause why such territory should not be annexed. o0o I HEREBY CRTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 14th day of December, 1977, by the following vote: AYES..
