A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PORTION OF MC CALL AVENUE BETWEEN WIBLE ROAD
AND STATE ROUTE 99 IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of September, 1982, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 959 declaring its intention
to order the vacation of a portion of McCall Avenue between Wible
Road and State Route 99 in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vadation, which said hearing was held on the 13th day of October,
1982, after notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That a portion of McCall Avenue between Wible Road
and State Route 99 in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for present
or prospective public street purposes.
2. That a portion of McCall Avenue between Wible Road
and State Route 99 be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated
and abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and in
conformity with the reservations and exceptions contained in and
contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No. 959. Reference
to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day of October, 1982, by
the following vote:

A parcel .of land situated in the City of Bakersfield, CoUnty of Kern,
State of California, being a portion of Section 13, Township 30 South, Range
27 East M.D.B. & M., more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of said Sectionl3; thenc~ South
00° 35' 46" West alon -the west line of said Section 13 a distance of 972.57
· feet; thence South 89~ 24' 14" East a distance of 30 feet to point, said point
being. the intersection of'the East right-of-way !in~ Of Wible Road and the
North right-of-way line of McCall~Avenue and the True Point of Beginning for
this description;
· THENCE (1) South 89° 16' 21" East along tile North right-of-way line of
McCall Avenue a distance of 312.66 feet to a point on the West right-of-way
line of State Route 99;
THENCE (2) South 11° 44' 02"'East along the last named West right-of-way
line a distance of 40.97 feet to a point on the South right-of-way line
'of McCall Avenue;
THENCE (3) North 89° 16' 21" West along the last named south right-of-way
line a distance 321.41 feet to a point on the East right-of-way line of
Wible Road;
THENCE (4) North 00° 35' 46" East along tile-last named East right-of-way
line a distance of 40 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Reserving all of said MCCall Avenue for an easement to construct, place,
operate, inspect, maintain, repair, replace, and remove aerial and underground
public utilities.
