A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT WITHIN BLOCK
1 OF TRACT 1472, NORTH OF 30TH STREET,
BETWEEN "F" STREET AND "H" STREET, IN
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of August, 1982, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Public Service Easements Vacation Law," being Sections 50430 to
50445, inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of California,
passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 957 declaring
its intention to order the vacation of a public service easement,
also referred to herein as a public utilities easement, situated
within Block 1 of Tract 1472, north of 30th Street, between "F"
Street and 'H" Street, in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation, which said hearing was held on the 15th day of September,
1982, after notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That said public service easement, also referred
to herein as a public utilities easement, described in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for
present or prospective public use.
2. That said public service easement be and the same
is hereby vacated and abandoned for public service easement pur-
poses, subject to and in conformity with the reservation of the
easement contained in and contemplated by said ResolutiOn of
Intention No. 957. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is
hereby made for further particulars.
3. That 'the City Clerk'shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of September, 1982,
by the following vote:

CLOSING A PORTION OF'A UTILITY EASEMENT
LOCATED IN BLOCK 1 OF TPACT NO.' 1472
A parcel of land situated in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California, being a portion'of Section 24, Township 29 South, Range 27
East, M.D.B. & M., more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast comer of Lot 15 of Block 1 as shown on the Map of
Tract No. 1472 recorded March 30, 1949 in Map Book 6 at page 193 in the Office
of the Kern County Recorder, said corner being a point on the west right-of-way
line of "H" Street and the Point. of Beginning for this description;
THENCE (1) North00° 00' 30" West along the last named right-of-way line a
distance of 35 feet;
THENCE (2) North 90° 00' 00" West a distance of 125 feet;
THENCE'(3) North 00° 00' 30" West a distance of 230 feet to a point on the west
line of said Block 1;
THENCE (4) North. 90~ 00' 00" West along the last named west line a distance of
10 feet;
THENCE (S).South 00° 00' 30" East a distance.of 230 feet;
THENCE (6) North 90-o 00' 00" West a distance of 287.11 feet;
THENCE (7) South 00° 00' 30" East a distance of 35.00 feet;
THENCE (8) South 90° 00' 00" East a distance of 422.11 feet to the' Point of
Beginning.
