A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A 30'
BUILDING SETBACK EASEMENT ALONG CHESTER
AVENUE BETWEEN WILSON ROAD AND DORIAN DRIVE
IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of August, 1982, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted
its Resolution of Intention No. 956 declaring its intention to
order the vacation of a 30' building setback easement along
Chester Avenue between Wilson Road and Dorian Drive in the City
of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation, which said hearing was held on the 15th day of September,
1982, after notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council, after duly considering the
matter, does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That a 30' building setback.easement along Chester
Avenue between Wilson Road and Dorian Drive in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described
in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary
for present or prospective public street purposes.
2. That a 30' building setback easement along Chester
Avenue between Wilson Road and Dorian Drive in the City of Bakersfield
be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for
public street purposes, subject to and in conformity with the
reservations and exceptions contained in and contemplated by said
Resolution of Intention No. 956. Reference to said Resolution of
Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
resolution and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of September, 1982,
by the following vote:

A parcel of land situated in the City of Bakersfield~ County of Kern,
State of California, being a portion of Lots 111,112,113,114,1!S,116,117,!18 &
119 of Tract No. iS41 recorded June 22, 19S0 in Map Book 7 at page 97 in the
Office of the Kern County Recorder, said parcel also being a portion of Section
7, Township 30 South, Range 28 East M.D.B~ M., more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of Lot-ll9 of said Tract No. 1541,
said corner being a point on the north right of way line of Dorian Drive;'
thence North 61° 38' 00" east along the last named north right of way line a
distance of ?0.00'feet to the Point of Beginning for.this description;
THENCE (1) Continuing North 61° 38' 00" East along the north right of way
of Dorian Drive a distance of 10 feet to a'point.on a tangent curve concave
to the northwest having a radius of 20 feet;
THENCE (2) Northeasterly along the last named curve through a central angle
of 90° 00' 00" an arc length of 31.42 feet to a'point on the west right of
way line of Chester Avenue;
THENCE (3) North 28° 22' 00" l~st along the last named west right of way line
-a distance of 419..9-9 feet to a point on a tangent curve concave to the
southwest having a radius of 20 feet;
THENCE (4) Northwesterly along the last named curve through a central angle
of 61° 44' 4S" an arc length of 21.SS feet.to a_point on the south right of
way line of Wilson Road;
THENCE (S) South 89° S3' IS"West along the last named south'right of way line
a distance of 22.097 feet;
THENCE (6) South 28° 22' 00" East a distance of 468.07 feet to the Point of
Beginning.
