HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 105-82 RESOLUTION NO. 105-82 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING THE KERN COUNTY FEDERAL A]ID URBAN PROGRAM FOR THE BAKERSFIELD URBANIZED AREA, CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, the 1973 Federal Highway Act established, and the 1978 Federal Highway Act continues, the Federal Aid Urban (FAU) system program; and WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Transportation has set down certain policy procedures for these programs; and WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the 1973 Federal Highway Act, has adopted a process and program delineating and establishing the Federal Aid Urban Boundaries and System Routes for the Bakersfieid Urbanized Area, which' process and program is on file in the Public Works .Department and City Clerk's office and by s h reference incorporated herein, c which System Routes does not include Pierce Road; and WHEREAS, the Kern County FAU Program for the Bakersfield urbanized area, City of Bakersfield, respecting the 1978 Federal-Highway Act has been duly formulated and adopted by the City Council Resolution No. 40-79, which ! · FAU Program does not include Pierce Road re onstruction; and WHEREAS, it is appropriate that Program be amended by the addition thereto and the Galloway Canal which is the first e System Routes andthe'1978 FAU f Pierce Road between 24th Street ep required for federal funding of the proposed reconstruction project on said route. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. The System Routes and 1978 FAU Programis hereby amended by the addition thereto of P'e ce Road between 24th Street and lr Calloway Canal. That the City Clerk is directed to transmit certified copies of this Resolution to the Kern County Public Works Department, the Kern County Council of Governments, to Cal-Trans, District 06, P. O. Box 12616, Fresno, California 93778 and to such other officers 'and agencies spec f !d i i by the City of Bakersfield Public Works Director.
