A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD TRANSMITTING RESULTS OF MEASURE
B TO THE KERN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
AND THE KERN COUNTY WATER AGENCY.
WHEREAS, residents of the City of Bakersfield pay an
assessment to the Kern County Water Agency for Zone of Benefit
No. 1 as established by the Kern County Water Agency and approved
by the Kern County Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, on February 3, 1982 the City Council of the
City of Bakersfield directed that an advisory measure regarding
the Zone of Benefit No. 1 assessment be placed on the June 8,
1982 election ballot for City residents; and
WHEREAS, the advisory measure provided:
MEASURE B
. Shall the City of Bakersfield pursue all
appropriate means to attempt to remove property
owners in the City of Bakersfield from the
Kern County Water Agency Zone of Benefit
No. 17
WHEREAS, the results of the election were:
Measure B Yes: 15,029 No: 7,680
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that the results of the election, as hereinabove
stated, are submitted to the Kern County Board of Supervisors and
the Kern County Water Agency for their information and appropriate
action.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of September, 1982,
by the following vote:
