RESOLUTION NO. 55-82
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY BILL
2869.
WHEREAS, there currently exists in many communities in
California a shortage of affordable housing; and
WHEREAS, legislation is presently scheduled to become
operative in July, 1982 which will place costly requirements on
new residential construction; and
WHEREAS, AB 2869 will delay implementation of those
requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield
supports AB 2869 delaying implementation of the residential
energy standards.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the' City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 26th day of May, 1982, by the
