A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ESTABLISHING-A REDEVELOPMENT
ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of assuring that
the Redevelopment Agency receives input on projects from all
segments of the community; and
WHEREAS, such input could best be obtained through the
formation of an advisory group; and
WHEREAS, individuals with property or businesses within
the redevelopment project area or general interests in redevelopment
are best suited to provide advice and recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that there is hereby established a Redevelopment
Advisory Committee, which shall serve only in an advisory capacity
to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Bakersfield and which
shall be established as follows:
1. Membership shall be composed of a chairman and
three (3) individuals selected by the City Council and serving at
the pleasure of the City Council.
2. The Advisory Committee shall meet as it deems
necessary to provide advice and recommendation to the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of Bakersfield.
3. The Redevelopment Agency shall not be bound by any
advice or recommendation of the Advisory Committee, but shall
give such advice or recommendation the weight that it deems
appropriate.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of April, 1982, by
the following vote:
