A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD SETTING RATES FOR WATER SERVICE
IN THE BAKERSFIELD WATER SERVICE AREA.
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield owns and operates the
Bakersfield Municipal Water System - Ashe Division; and
WHEREAS, the rate structure of California Water Service
Company throughout the City is in a disproportionate difference
from that in the Bakersfield Municipal Water System - Ashe Division;
and
WHEREAS, the rate structure for water service should
be uniform throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, adjustment of rates will put the Bakersfield
Municipal Water System - Ashe Division into a financially feasible
position and will equalize rates with that of California Water
Service Company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The rates for water service within the Bakersfield
Water Service Area will be as set forth in the attached document
labeled "Exhibit A."

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of April, 1982, by
the following vote:
