HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 12-82-RESOLUTION NO. 12-82 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE BUILDING DIRECTOR RE ASSESSMENTS OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE CITY FOR DEMOLITION OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS. WHEREAS, the properties in the City of Bakersfield described by Assessor parcel number and street address in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated by this reference herein, were determined to be dangerous buildings under the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1976 Edition; and WHEREAS, notices and orders of C. A. Bidwell, Building Director of the City of Bakersfield, as provided in Chapter 4 of the above-specified Code, were mailed to the record owners of the aforementioned properties; and WHEREAS, the properties in question were duly posted as provided in.Chapter 4 of said Code; andl. WHEREAS, the demolition of the buildings was paid out of th~ Repair and Demolition Fund as provided for by Chapter 8 of the said Code; and WHEREAS, this assessment proceeding was duly noticed and a hearing held on February 10, 1982, in the Council Chambers of the City of Bakersfield. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. That the Report on Assessment for Demolition of Dangerous Buildings of C. A. Bidwell, Building Director, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", including the assessments therein set forth, is hereby confirmed. 2. That the property owners named in said Exhibit "A" may pay, or cause to be paid, the charges stated therein at the office of the Finance Department, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, at any time before 5 o'clock p.m., March 12, 1982. 3.
