RESOLUTION NO.' 67'80
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DESIGNATING THE ARTS COUNCIL OF
KERN AS THE OFFICIAL "CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
AND COUNTY OF KERN ARTS PLANNING AGENCY."
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the residents that the
City encourage and enhance cultural and artistic development and
awareness in the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the Arts Council of Kern provides a means to
achieve substantive growth in the cultural and arts areas; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield comprises more than 20%
of Kern County's population.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AS FOLLOWS:
Representing the residents of a city comprising 20% or
more of the county population, the Council of the City of Bakersfield
joins with the Kern County Board of Supervisors in designating the
Arts Council of Kern as the official "City of Bakersfield and
County of Kern Arts Planning Agency" to administer the California
Arts Council State-Local Partnership Program and to implement the
arts planning process in the region.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 29th day of October, 1980, by
the following vote:
