A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD SUPPORTING AND ENCOURAGING DEVELOPMENT
WITHIN THE DOWNTOWN BAKERSFIELD AREA.
WHEREAS, the City Council has been considering various
redevelopment projects in the downtown Bakersfield area; and
WHEREAS, except as presently committed to specific
projects, the City Council desires further development of other
areas within downtown Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the City Council will consider any project
that will enhance the viability of downtown Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
supports and encourages the development and revitalization of
the entire downtown Bakersfield area.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of December , 1981,
by the following vote:
