HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 79-81RESOLUTION NO. 79-81 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF "O" STREET BETWEEN 38TH STREET AND 40TH STREET, ADJACENT TO BLOCK 664, IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, on the 23d day of September, 1981, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 950 declaring its intention to order the vacation of a portion of "O" Street between 38th Street and 40th Street, adjacent to Block 664, in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California; and WHEREAS, this Council did fix a time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation, which said hearing was held on the 14th day of October, 1981, after notices were duly posted as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FOUND AND RESOLVED by this Council as follows: 1. That a portion of "O" Street between 38th Street and 40th Street, adjacent to Block 664, in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes. 2. That a portion of "O" Street between 38th Street and 40th Street, adjacent to Block 664, be and the same is~ hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and in conformity with the reservations and exceptions contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No. 950. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars. 3.
