A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKE.R~FIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A 33
FOO~T~ALLEY IN BLOCK 351 BETWEEN "L" STREET
AND "M" STREET NORTH OF 14TH STREET, IN THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of August, 1981, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 949 declaring its intention
to order the vacation of a 33 foot alley in Block 351 between
"L" Street and "M" Street north of 14th Street, in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation, which said hearing was held on the 16th day of September,
1981, after notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That a 33 foot alley in Block 351 between "L" Street
and "M" Street north of 14th Street, in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is un-
necessary for present or prospective public street purposes.
2. That a 33 foot alley in Block 351 between "L" Street
and "M" Street north of 14th Street, be and the same is hereby
closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes,
subject to and in conformity with the reservations and exceptions
contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No.
949. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for
further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of September, 1981,
by the following vote:

VACATION OF ALLEY IN BLOCK 351
A parcel of land situated in the City of Bakersfield, County
of Kern, State of California, being a portion of Section 30, T 29 S,
R 28 E, M.D.B. & M., and more particularly'described as follows:
All of the alley of 33 feet in width in Block 351, as said
Block 351 is shown on {he Map of the City of Bakersfield recorded
November 25, 1898 in Book 1 of Maps, Page 13 and 14 in the Office
of the Kern County Recorder;
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING all of said alley for Public Utility
purposes. o
