It appearing to the Council of the City of Bakersfield
that auctions are being conducted in unincorporated areas in the
County of Kern, in many cases irmnediately adjacent to cities
having regulatory ordinances governing the holding of auctions, and
It further appearing that such auctions are in many instances
misleading to the general public and operating fraudulently under
the guise of legitimate business.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, that the Board of Supervisors of the County. of Kern
be urged to pass an ordinance regulating and controlling the holding
of auctions in unincorporated areas of the County of Kern.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the .Clerk of this Council be and
she is hereby directed'to fo~r~.ard a certified copy of this resolution
to the Board of Supervisors of the. County of Kern.
