HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 26-54HESOL mO WHEREAS, the attention of the Council of the City of Bakersfield has been directed to the fact that certain differences of opinion exist between the Chief of Police of the City of Bakersfield and the District Attorney relative to law enforcement by the Police Department within the City of Bakersfield, in carrying out the policy as set. forth by said Council, and WHEREAS, law enforcement in the City of Bakersfield has been nationally recognized as one of the best in the nation and the City Council recognizes this as being the result of the efficiency and competence of our Chief of Police and his staff. NOW, THEREFORE, it is the 'desire of the Council of the City of Bakersfield, after full consideration of the above and of the outstanding record of the Police Department under the leadership of H. V. Grayson, Chief of Police, to express and .does hereby express full confidence in the competence and integrity of Chief Grayson in the performance of his duties as Chief of Police of the City of Bakersfield.
