SELLING CITY OF BAKERSFIELD 1954 CITY
HALL BONDS, SERIES A
~WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, Kern
County, State of California, heretofore duly authorized the
issuance of $800,000 principal amount of bonds of said City to be
known as "City of Bakersfield 1954 City Hall Bonds, Series A", all
dated February 1, 1954, and further duly authorized the sale of
said bonds, numbered and maturing as set forth in Resolution
No. 67-53 adopted by the Council of said City on December 7, 1953,
at public sale to the highest bidder therefor pursuant to the
terms and conditions of the notice of sale of said bonds set forth
in said Resolution; and
P~ERFAS, notice of the sale of said bonds has been duly
given in the manner prescribed by said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, no bids for said bonds to be sold as afore-
said were received by said Council and said Council desires to
sell said bonds at private sale to the State Allocation Board of
the State of California pursuant to that certain Agreement between
said Board and the City of Bakersfield, a copy of which is attached
to Resolution No. 68-53 of said Council adopted on December 7, 1953;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows, to wit:
1. Said $800,000 principal amount of bonds numbered and
maturing and with interest payable as set forth in said Resolution
No. 67-53 shall be and are hereby sold to the State Allocation
Board of the State of California and the Treasurer of said City is
hereby authorized and directed to deliver said bonds to said puP-
chaser thereof upon payment to said Treasurer of the purchase price,
to wit: said par value thereof together with accrued interest at
the rate of 2% per annum.

2. The City Clerk is directed to cause to be litho-
graphed, printed or engraved a sufficient number of blank bonds
of suitable quality, said bonds to show on their face that the
same bear interest at the rate aforesaid.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that this resolution shall take
effect from and after its passage and approval.

and correct copy of a resolution duly adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City duly and regularly held at the regular
meeting place thereof on the llth day of January, 1954, of which
meeting all of the members of said Council had due notice and at
which a majority thereof was present; that due notice of said meet-
ing was given in all respects as required by California Statutes
1953, Ch. 1588; that at said meeting said resolution was intro-
duced by Councilman Carnakis
and was thereupon, upon motion of Councilman
seconded by Councilman Croes

That I have carefully compared the same with the original
minutes of said meeting on file and of record in my office and that
said resolution is duly entered of record in Book - --- of Minutes,
at pages 152 to -- , inclusive, and said resolution is a full,
true and correct copy of the original resolution adopted at said
meeting and entered in said minutes. That said resolution has not
been amended, modified or rescinded since the sale of its adoption
and the same is now in full force and effect.
