FIELD, CALIFORNIA, AWA~D-TNG ~ CONTRACT IN THE
MATTER OF "PUBLIC IMPROVE~EENT DISTRICT N0.
OF SAID CITY, PURSUANT-TO RESOLUTION 0F IN~ENTION
ADOPTED BY SAID COUNCIL 0N~THE- 2rid DAY 0F NOVEMBER,
198S.
WHEREAS; the Council of the City of Bakersfield, California,
did in'open-session on the 21st day of December, 195S, open, examine
and publicly'deClare all sealed proposals or bids for the construction
of the following work to be done and improvements to be made in said
City, to wit:
The construction of POrtland cement concrete combined
curb and gutter and one curb return on the easterly
side of E1 Sereno Drive and the northerly side of Belle
Terrace; the above described improvements to extend
from a point in E1 Sereno Drive, distant 153.66 feet
southerly from the southerly line of Townsley Avenue
to a point in Belle Terrace distant 198~00 feet easterly
from the easterly line of E1 Sereno Drive~
All of said work is to be done in accordance with the plan
approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield
on the 2rid day of November, 19~,~ by Resolution No. ~9-5S, which plan
consists of one (1) sheet, ~nd is-entitled "Plan for Public Improve-
ment District No~ V03." Said plan is on file in the office of the
City Clerk of the City' of Bakersfield, and is hereby referred to and
by such reference made a part and'portion hereof, and in this connec-
tion said' plan also shows the exact location of the aforesaid work and
improvement~
WHEREAS, the said Council has determined and decided that
the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was, in
the o~inion of said Co.uncil, of more than local or ordinary public
benefit, and the said Council has made the costs and expenses of said
work chargeable upon a distrtc.,~'~
All of the here in proposed work shall be done in pursuance
of the "Improvement Act of 1911", being Division V of the Streets
and Highways Code ~of t~ State of California.
NOW, TEEFOE, BE IT. RESOLVED that said Council hereby
rejects all of the proposals of bids except the hereinafter mention-
ed, and hereby awards the contract for said work and improvement to
the lowest,~regul~ responsible bidder, to wit: to

The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a 'notice of
award of contract to be published in the manner and form required
by law in two e~ti~e issues of t~ Bakersfield Californian, a daily
newspaper,~ printed, published and of general circulation in the
CSty of Bakersfield, Californian, and hereby designated for said
purpose by said Council.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that' the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of December,
