OF ANNEXED TERRITORY FROM THE LA
CRESTA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT.'
· WHEREAS, on August 10, 1953, by the passage of Ordinance
Noe 984 New Series, after proceedings duly had been conducted,
the Council of the City of Bakersfield Rpproved the annexation
of certain uninhabited territory ~ the City of Bakersfield,which
said territory was and is commonly kno~m as "College Heights", and
~HEREAS, a portion of said annexed territory is included with-
in and ~forms a part of the LaCresta Fire Protection District, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 1192, Statutes of 1983, provides for the with-
drawal of annexed territory from f~e protection districts, and
WHEREAS, 'this Council is desirous of withdrawing said portion
of the annexed territory from the said LaCresta Fire Protection
District.
NOW, THERE~0RE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, as follows:
1. That that portion of the annexed ~erritory to' the City of
Bakersfield known as "College Heights", lying within the LaCresta
Fire Protection District, described as:
That portion of the NEi of the SW!
Section 17, Township 29 South, Range
28 East, M. D. B. & M., lying northwest
of the southeasterly right of way of
Panorama Drive, City of Bakersfield,.'
County of Kern, State of California,
be and the sam is hereby withdrawn from the LaCresta Fire Protec-
tion District.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file copies of this
resolutionwith the State Board of Equalization, the Board of'Super-
visors of the County of Kern, and the Assessor of the County of Kern.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the 14th
day of December,-1953;, by the followzing vote:
