RESOLUTION OF PROPOSED ANEXATION OF
UNINHABITED TERRITORY AND SETTING TIE
FOR HEARING.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City
of Bakersfield on the I~ day of November, 1953, requesting that
certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed and in-
cluded within the incorporated limits of the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of not less
than one-fourth (~)~of the area of the land in such territory, and
representing not lless than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of
such territory according to the last preceding equalized assessment
roll of the County of Kern,
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the An-
nexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as
amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as lolllows:
That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed
to the City of Bakersfield are described as follows:
That portion of Lots 7 and l0 of Frampton Acres, as
per map recorded June 21, 1912 in Book 2, page ~7 of
Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of Kern
County, California, more specifically described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of said Lot 7,
which is distant 200 feet south, measured at right angles
from the north line of said Lot 7; thence south, along
the east line of said Lots 7 and 10, 50 feet to a point
which is distant 250 feet south measured at right angles,
from the north line of said Lot 7; thence west, parallel
with the north line of said Lot 7, 1~6.34 feet, more or
less, to a point in the west line of said Lot 10; thence
north, along the west line of said Lots l0 and 7, to a
point which is distant 200 feet south, measured-at right
angles from the north line of said Lot 7; thence east,
parallel with the north line of said Lot 7, 146.34 feet
more or less to the point of beginning.
That a designation appropriately identifying such territory
is FRAMPTON ACRES NO. 5.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Monday, the 28th day of December,
1953, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers in
the Bakersfield Police Department Building, 1620 Truxtun Avenue,
Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the place where any
person owning real property within such territory so proposed to
be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation may
appear before the Council of the City of Bakersfield and show cause
why such territory should not be So annexed.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on ~the 23rd day of November, 1953, by the following vote:
