HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 63-53 RESOLUTION ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING THE PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID IN THE MATTER OF "PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 703" IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALI- FORNIA. WEEAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, did, on the 2nd' day' bf November, 19~13, adopt Resolution of Inten- tion No. 703,' for the construction of certain improvements in Public Improvement District No. 703, and WHEREAS, pursuant to the ~rovi'Sions of the Labor Code .of the .State-of:California,i this Council did, on the SthZ.day Of January, 19~l,: pass and adopt" Resolution No. 96'ascertaining and determining the prevailing rate of wages to.be paid to. each craft and type of workman employed on .public works' in lthe City of~B:akersfield~ Cali- fornia, which said r.~solution was amended on November 2.~ 1953, by the passage of Resolution No. ~8-~3- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the 'Council of the City 'of Bakersfield that :the prevailing wage of per diem wages in the locality' in which the work described' to be performed in-said Reso- lution of Intention 'INc. 703, for each craft Or type of workman needed to perform t~e contract 'shall. be as 'heretofore · set :forth in said Resolution No. 96 as amended by Resolution No.' ~8-~3, and in particular as follows: ' CLASSIFICATION " .. : "~ RATE PER HOUR Carpenter .... . .. .... · ... . . $2.y8 Cement ~Finisher ........... 2.70 . Any Classification.omitted ~erein . .' 1-97" The general ~revailing rate ':for .legal holiday and overtime' work for each craft~ and type of workman in said-pubtic work' 'is as follows: ,.: CARPENTERS D~ ,uble time-for all overtime, except. rot-Pile Driver men - Bridge or Dock Carpent'ers on tide work ~here the overtime rate will be 'time and one-half; providing that when men. are 'called to work outside of the regular work day they will be guaranteed six '(6) hours pay at the overtime rate. CEMENT FINISHE[RS Time and oneuhalf for the-first three hours after the regularly constituted straight .time shift, and all other overtim~ shall be doubl'e time. CDNCRETE MIXER OPERATORS - Paving Type and Mobile Mixer and Skip Type- Time and one-half for all overtime. TEAMSTERS Time and one-half ~ for all Over'time. LABORERS General or Construction- Time and one-half except Sundays and HSlidays which are double time. In accordance!with the provisions of Section 1777.~ of the Labor Code, as amended by Chapter 971, Statutes of 1939, and in accordance with the regulations of the California Apprenticeship Council, properly indentured apprentices may be employed in the prosecution of the wbrk. o0o .......
