RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF ~HE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, ORDERING THE VACATION
OF A PORTION OF LAKEVIEW AVENUE IN THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIE, CALIFORNI!A.
WHEREAS, on the 28th day of September, 1'953, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9 of the! Streets and High-
ways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its Reso-
lution of Intention No. 70~, declaring its in~ention to order the
vacation of a portion of Lakeview Avenue in the City of' Bakersfield,
California, and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 26th day of. October, 19~3, after
notices were duly posted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter, does
hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the following described portion of Lakeview Avenue in
the City of Bakersfield, is unnecessary for present or prospective
public street purposes:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lo~ 73, as said
' Lot is shown on map of Tract No. 1171 recorded July 24,
1941, in Book 5 of Maps, at pages 39 and 40, Records of
Kern County, California; thence N. 89° 38' E. a distance
of ~3.17 feet to the true point of beginning, said true
point of beginning also being the point !of beginning of
a curve concave northwesterly and having a radius of 20.00
feet; thence along the arc of said curve a distance of
31.25 feet to a point in a line parallel with and distant
westerly 12.00 feet from the. easterly lines of Lots 72 and
73 as said lots are shown on said map of Tract No. ll71;
thence N. 0° 06' 30" E. a distance of 230.01 feet to the
beginning of a curve .concave southwesterly and having a
radius of 20.00 feet; thence along the arc of said curve
a distance of 31.57 feet to a point in the northerly line
of Lot 72; thence S. 89° 39' 42" W. a distance of 13.00
feet to the beginning of a curve, concave southwesterly

and having a radius of 20.00 feet; thenc~e along the arc of
said curve 31.57 feet to a point in a l~ne parallel with
and distant 25.00 feet westerly from thei easterly lines
of said Lots 72 and 73; thence S. 0° 06'i 30" W. a distance
of 230.01 feet to the beginning of a curve concave north-
westerly and having a radius of 20,00 fe~et; thence along
the arc of said curve 31.25 feet to a point in the southerly
line of said Lot 73; thence N. 89° 38' E. a distance of
13.00 feet to the true point of beginning.
2. That said portion of Lakeview Avenue~ be and the same is
hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes,
subject to and in conformity with said Resoluti~on of Intention No.
705. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for
further particulars. ~
3. The City Clerk shsll certify to the ~passage of this Reso-
lution and shall cause a certified copy hereof,'. attested by the
Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorde:d in the office of
the County Recorder of the County of Kern, Cali]fornia.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resdlution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 26th day of October, 1953, by the follow-
