WEREAS, this Council did.on t~e 30th day-' of'March,
19513, pass and adopt Resolution No. 19-53, which.resolution was.
thereafter 'amended by this COuncil on the 8th day of September,
1953,'by'Resolution No. 48-53, requesting. transfer of a certain
housing project known as Southern Pacific Homes - Cal-4060 to the
City of Bakersfield, under ~i'tle VI of the Lanham Act, and'
'.. WHEREAS, it is .required that the City SecUre a lease
to' sai~ property for a period of three. (3)'.years from and aft'er
the ·termination of the lease now-in 'effect 6etween the SOuthern
PacifiC....Company and the United States Government.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Manager
of the City of Babrsfield be and he is hereby 'authorized to obtain
an option to lease the property. now occupied by the pro.ject ~known
as Southern Pacific HOmes - Ca1~4060, for a period'of three (3)
years from and after the 'termination~of~the .lease now in effect ...
between. the' Southern Pacific Company and the United States 'Govern'

-and adopted by .the Council of the City of Bakersfield' at a regular
meeting thereof held on the' 28th day of September, 1953, by the fol-
