CITY COUNCIL WITH PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, TOGETHER WITH CARE- FUL ESTIMATES OF THE COSTS AND EXPENSES OF WORK IN THE MATTER OF PUBLIC IMPROVE- MENT DISTRICT NO. 703. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City. of Bakers- field, that the City Engineer be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and furnish to this Council, plans and specifications, together with careful estimates of the costs and e~p~nses 'of the werk in connection with the doing and making of the work and improvement described in Resolution No. passed and adopted by the City Council of said City on the 31st day of August, 1953 · HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of .Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 31st day of August, 1953, by the .follow- ing vote: AYES: CARNAKIS. Council of ths City of Bakersfield. RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THE SUFFICIENCY 0F A PETITION FILED IN THE MATTER OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. 703. WHEREAS, there was' filed with the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield on the 19th day of August,' 1953, a petition from the owners of property situated in the district described therein for the following described work and improvement: and The construction of P. 'C. Concrete Curb and Gutters along the East side of E1 Serreno Drive between Belle Terrace and a point 153,66 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of Townsley Avenue, WHEREAS, the City Clerk~has certified' that she has compared the 'signatures appearing on said petition with the names' of the owners as shown on ~the! last equalized assessment roll of the County of Kern, and finds that said petition' ts signed by owners of property described in said certificate, and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reported to this Council that the area owned by the persons named on the aforementioned petition, represents more than 60% of the total area of all property located in the district described in said petition subject to assessment for the proposed improvement described therein, and WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered said petition and the certificates of the City Clerk and City Engineer with reference to the proposed improvement referred to in said petition, · and the sufficiency of said petition. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD DOSS EREBY .RESOLVE DETERMXWS' Fr o 'AmO ORDER as follows: ' 1. That the work and improvement referred to in said petition is to be done under the provisions of the "improvement Act of 1911", Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali- f or ni a .+ ~ · . 2, That~ this City Council does hereby find and determine that the qualified signatures to said' petition, a~e the signatures of all the owners of more than sixty per cent (60%) in area of all the property subject to assessment for said work and improvement. 3.
