A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF .BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT IN BLOCK 9 OF
TRACT 1387, CITY OF BAIGERSFIELD, CALl-.
FORNIA.
WEEAS, on the.21st day of January, 1952, the Council of
'~he City of Bakersfield, pursuant to Sections 50430 to 50445 in-
clusive of the Government Code of the State of California, passed
andradopted its Ordinance of Intention No. 691, declaring its
intention to order the vacation of a public service easement in
the City of Bakersfield, California, and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all personsinterested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 18th day of February, 1952,
after notices were duly posted and published as required by law,
and
WHEREAS, no person appeared in opposition to said proposed
vacation, and this Council after duly considering the matter does
hereby find:
~ 1. That the following described public service easement
is. unnecessary for present or prospective public use, to wit:
... Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot 18,
:~' Block 9, Tract No. 138V, and which corner is also
the northwesterly corner of Lot 19, Block 9, Tract
No. 1387, as said Lots 18 and 19 and s~id Block 9
are shown and delineated .on the Map of Tract No.
138V, filed for p_ecord in the office of. the County

day of March, 1948, on Pages 104 to 111, Inc., in
Book 6 of Maps; thence N. 33° 25t 40" E. 5 feet
along the northwesterly boundary line of-said Lot
18; thence S. 56° 34t 20" E. along a line 5 feet
northeasterly from and parallel with the common
boundary line. between said Lots 18 and 19 to its

' westerly from, measured at right angles to and.
parallel with the Southeasterly boundary line of

feet to the point of' beginning.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Public Service
Easement be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned
as contemplated by said Ordinance of Intention No. 691.
· BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage Of this Reselution, and shall cause a certified copy of
this Resolution, attested by the Clerk under~ the seal of the City,
to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the' County
of 1 Kern, California.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
.and lad~pted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 10th day of August, 1953, by the follow-
ing vote:
