RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, 'ORDERING THE VACATION
0F A PORTION 0F DOLORES STREET IN THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WEREAS. on the 29th day of June, t953, the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, pursuant t,o the provisions of ,the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9 of the Streets and High-
Ways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its Reso-
lution of Intention No. V02, declaring its intention· to order the
vacation of a portion of Dolores Street in the City of Bakersfield,
California, and .
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 20th day of July, 198$, after
notices'.were duly posted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly c0nsideringthe matter, does
hereby find and resolve as follows:
le That the following described portion of Dolores Street in
the City of Bakersfield, is unnecessary for present or prospective
public street purposes:
All of Dolores Street, formerly D Street, lying
between the easterly line of King Street and the
westerly line of Beale Avenue, as said Dolores
Street, formerly D Street is shown on Map of
Bakersfield, Kern County, California, showing
East Bakersfield, formerly Sumner; recorded
January 12, 1889, in Map Book 1, a~pages 15
and 16, Records of Kern County, California.
2. That' said portionof' D61orSs Stree.t be~hd~th&: ~ame"'i~'
hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes,
subject to and in conformity with said Resolution of Intention No.
VOP. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for
further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of~this Reso-
lution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by the
Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office of
the County Rece~de~ of the County of Kern, California.
~ I HEREBY CERTIFY-that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Baker'sfield at a ~egula~
meeting thereof held en the ~th day ef July, 195~, by the follow-
