HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 30-53 ESOLUTZON NO. 5n-65 RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF TERRI- TORiAL MAP AND DESIGNATING OFFICIAL TO RE- CEIVE ALL INFORMATION REGARDING PROPOSED SUBDIVISIONS WITHIN CERTAIN DISTANCES OUT- SIDE THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF B.~3KERSFIELD. WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article 2 of Division 4 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California, titled Subdivision Map Act, provides in Section 11528, among other things, that the legislative body of any city or county which desires to inspect and make recommendations concerning the map or maps of proposed sub- divisions adjacent to but outside of its jurisdictional boundary line, may file with the clerk of the governing body or advisory agency of any adjoining city or county having jurisdiction, a map or an amended map, of territory extending not more than three miles from the common boundary line of cities or counties, and ~HERE.AS, under said Act, it is further provided that upon the filing of said territorial map, certain information may be obtained from-the agency with which said map is filed respecting proposed subdivisions, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council of the City of Bakers- field to receive the information available as provided'for in said Act, and to offer such suggestions as may be beneficial to the development of the community. I~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 'the' C'o'uncil' of the' City of Bakersfield, as follows: 1. The City Engineer is hereby ordered to prepare a territorial map,and amended maps thereof when necessary,of the territory surround- tng the City of Bakersfield including but not exceeding a distance of three miles from the common boundary line of said city and the County of Kern, which ~aid map and amendments thereto shall be filed with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Kern or the Advisory Agency of said Count~', by the City Manager. 2. That the City Manager is hereby designated as the official of the City of Bakersfield to receive any maps and all other in- formation obtainable from said County in regard to subdivisions or proposed subdivisions within the 'distances outside the City of Bakersfield as provided in said Subdivision' Map Act, and to make such suggestions and recommendations as may be beneficial to the development of the community, to the Clerk or Advisory Agency of said County within fifteen days'~after receipt of such maps.
