RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL 'OF. THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, ~ ORDERING THE VACATION'
OF PORTIONS OF A STREET AND. ALLEY IN
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD', CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, 'on the 9th day of March, 1953, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the ~provisions. of the "Street
Vacation Act Of 11941," being Division 9 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its Resolution
of IntentiOn No. 699, declaring its intention to order the-vacation
of a portion of a street' and an alley within Ithe City of IBakersfield,
California, and ..~
~ 'WHEREAS,' said Council !did fix a time and place for baring
· all persons interested in or objecting to'said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 30th day of MarCh, 1953, after
notices were duly posted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does.hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the following described portions~ of a street-and
an allely within the City of Bakersfield, are unnecessary- for present
or prospective public street purposes:
All of that certain B Street included'between the.
northerly right of way line of I6th Street and the
southerly right of way line of Truxtun Avenue, former-
ly Railroad Avenue;. also the easterly 46 feet of that
,~. certain 20 foot alley extending easterly and westerly
through Block 413 A, as. said B Street, said 16th Street,
said Railroad Avenue, now-known as Truxtun-Avenue and
said 'Block 413 A are Ishown. and delineated'on that cer-
· ~ tain map entitled,~"Map of the' City of Bakersfield Kern
~ County California, !'reCorded on Pages 13 and 14 in
Bo6k'l of Maps in the office 'of" 'the 'C~unty Recorder of ·
· Kern County, California, on the 25th day of November, 1898.
= .... .!~-~__2. .... That.said portions~of said street and alley be and the
same eu?e.hereby' closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street
pulposes, subject to and in conformity with the reservations 'and
e~oap~ons'contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of Inten-

tion No. 69-9.
Reference to said Resolution of Intention. i's hereby
made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify~ t8 the passage of this
Resolution', 'a~nd shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution,
attested by the Clerk under the seal of the. City, to' be' ?eCorded in
the office of the County Recorder ofI ~the County 0f Kern, California.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed:
and adopted-by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
