UNINHABITED TERRITORY AND SETTIN~
FOR
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the i]ouncil of the City
of Bakersfield on the 27th day of February, 19~%3, requesting that
certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed and in-
cluded within the incorporated limits of the City of Bakersfield, and
WEREAS, said petition was signed by th~ owners of not less
than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land in such territory, and
representing not less than one-fourth (1/4) ofithe assessed value
of such territory according to the last preced.ing equalized assess-
ment roll of the County of Kern.
NOW, TKEREFORE, in compliance with the ~rovisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Statutes of 1939,
Chapter 297, as amen'ded, BE IT RESOLVED by the

pages 43 and I~1~ 'in Book 7 of Maps, then.~e N 0° 04' 55"
E 106.62 feet along the easterly boundary line of
said Lot 23 to a point which is the tru8 point of be-
ginning for this certain description, thence N 45
16' 20" W along the northeasterly boundary line o~
said Lot 23 and along a portion of the northeasterly
boundary line of Lot 22 in said Tract 1%18, a dis-
tance of 77.23 feet from the true point. of beginning
and which said northeasterly boundary line is a
portion of the currently existing corporate boundary
of the City of Bakersfield, California, ~ to its point
~of intersection with the prolongation southerly of
the westerly boundary line of Lot 6 in ~ract No.
1587, as said Lot and Tract are shown s~nd delineated

That a designation appropriately identifying such territory

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Monday the 6th day of April, 1953
at the hour of eight o'clock P. M., in the Couhcil Chambers Carpenter,s
Union Hall, 911 20th Street, Bakersfield, California, is the time
when and the place where any person owning real property within such
territory so proposed to be annexed and having'any objections to the
proposed annexation may appear before the CounCil of the City of
Bakersfield and show cause why such territory ~hould not be so annexed.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ResOlution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 2nd day of March, 1953, by the following vote:
