HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 9-53RESOLUTION OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY AND SETTIN~ FOR WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the i]ouncil of the City of Bakersfield on the 27th day of February, 19~%3, requesting that certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed and in- cluded within the incorporated limits of the City of Bakersfield, and WEREAS, said petition was signed by th~ owners of not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land in such territory, and representing not less than one-fourth (1/4) ofithe assessed value of such territory according to the last preced.ing equalized assess- ment roll of the County of Kern. NOW, TKEREFORE, in compliance with the ~rovisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Statutes of 1939, Chapter 297, as amen'ded, BE IT RESOLVED by the of Bakersfield as follows: That the boundaries of the Territory so Council of the City proposed to be annexed ~c d to the City of Bakersfield are specifically de. ribe as: Beginning at the most southeasterly corner of Lot 23, Tract 1%18, as said Lot and Tract are shown and delineated on the map of said. That a designation appropriately identifying such territory TERRACE GARDENS NO · 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Monday the 6th day of April, 1953 at the hour of eight o'clock P. M., in the Couhcil Chambers Carpenter,s Union Hall, 911 20th Street, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the place where any person owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having'any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before the CounCil of the City of Bakersfield and show cause why such territory ~hould not be so annexed. ........ o0o I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ResOlution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of March, 1953, by the following vote: C t ~ rk ~f the Council of the City of Bakersfield.
