· 1. WHEREAS the St te of California under Chskoter 47,
· Statute~ of 19~ (4th Extra Session) has appropri-
ated funds for allotment b~ the Director of Finance to pro-
~!~vide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined tnerein
as counties- cities or cities and counties for the purpose
defraying nSt to exceed one-half of the cost of prepa~ln] t°f
engineering field surveys engi. neering or architectural ~e-
signs and working a~,,d defiled drawin s and specifications
(hereln~fter called Plsns') required ~or postwar pub ic
works projects described as. "specific projects" in said c;
snd
2. WHEREAS the City of Bakersfield hereinafter desig-
nated at "Local en ' desires ~o apply to the the
Director of ~'insnce aud/or~ne~tate Allocation' Boaxd, as
case m~_y be for an allotment of the State' s snare of the es-
timated cos~ of preparin the completed p_lans nerein~fter
mentioned and there has ~een prepared an~ presented to this
LeKi_'slative Body for consideration an amended application for
suSh purpose; and
3. WHEREAS Local Agency has provided, or will make
available upon approval of the aforementioned appli-
cation, sufficient fuhds to prepare the completed plans nerein
mentioned;
NOW T~REFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Local Agency sub-
mit the ores~id amended ap' lication to the Dxrec-
tot of Finance an~oor the State Allocation Board, as t e cas
may be re estin su lemental allotment of Four n.~~ndL~an~
NoYlOO' Dol~s ($~O0.8~) being not more than one-half
cost of preparing said c'.om~leted lans or for such amoun as
m~ be approved ~y the Director o~ FiH~qnce and/or t e Sta e
Allocation Board (said allotment to be used for the purpose
of defraying the'cost of preparing said completed plans re-
quired) for a specific project to be undert~ken by loca
agency and described as Sewage Treatment Works.
5. BE IT FURTPER RESOLVED, that the estimated cost of
reparing such plans is Fifty-one Thousand Nine ~.
~iundred Fifty-five and 73~100 Dollars Q$51,955.73) and that
Local Agency has made provision for paying one-half or more

of the cost of preparing sucn pans;
6. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that for t~e urposes of

as t~e authorized'agent of Lo~al: Agency snd is nereOy adthor-
ized and directed to sign' the above mentione'd ap lication on
half of the Local ency and submit the same to ~he Director
and/or State ~oca~ion Board to ether with a certified
statement of the estimated co~t o~ preparing such plans an
such other information as may be re uired; ~nd said author-
ized agent is further authorized an~ directed as the repre-
sentatmve of Local Agency to conduct all negotiations and
conclude all arrangments including submission to the Direc-
tor of Finance of ~pplic~tions for reimbursement, ~mich may
be necessary to secure reimbursement for the State s share
of the expenditures made in preparing said completed plans.
7. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any and all previous

field, at a regular meeting thereof held on the lSth day of
