RESOLUTION OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF
UNINHABITED TERRITORY AND SETTING TIME
FOR HEARI~G THEREON.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City
of Bakersfield on the ~th day of March, 19~2, requesting that
certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and
included within the incorporated limits of the City of Bakersfield,
and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of one-fourth
of the land, by area, and by assessed value as shown on the last
equalized assessment roll of the County of Kern~ and
WHEREAS, the territory described in said petition is contigu-
ous to the City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, being Title 4,
Division 2, Part 2, Chapter l, Article ~ of the Government Code of
the State of California, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed
to the City of Bakersfield, are described as:
A parcel of land situate and lying in Section 6, T. 30 S.,
R. 28 E., M. D. B. & M., more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Lot 36 in Tract
No. 1061, also commonly known as Dobrusky Square, said north-
easterly corner being a point in the easterly boundary line
of said Tract No. 1061, as said Lot 36 and said easterly
boundary line, a currently existing corporate boundary of
the City of Bakersfield, State of California, are shown and
delineated on the map of Tract No. 1061, filed for record
in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California,
on the 28th day of April, 1938, on Pages ll2 and ll3 in Book 4,
of Maps; thence northerly along said easterly boundary line
and corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield a distance
of 313.1~ feet to a point in the center line of a 20 foot alley
extending easterly and westerly in said Tract No. 1061, as
said 20 foot alley is shown end delineated on aforesaid Map
of Tract No. 1061; thence easterly along the prolongation

easterly of the aforesaid center line of said 20 foot
alley a distance of 86.8 feet to a point in the easterly
boundary line of the westerly one half of Lot 5 in Sec-
tion 6, Township 30 South, Range 28 East, M. D. B. & M.,
as said Lot 5 and Section 6 are shown and delineated on
.Kern County Sales Map No. i of Lands of J. B. Haggin, filed
for record in the office of the aforesaid County Recorder
of Kern Cottnty on May 3, 1889; thence southerly along said
last described easterly boundary line to a point distant
therein, 140 feet northerly from the southeasterly corner
of the aforesaid westerly one half of said Lot 5; thence
westerly and parallel with the southerly boundary line of
aforesaid westerly one half of Lot 5, 86.8 feet to the point
of beginning and containing 0.6237 acres of land, more or
less.
That a designation appropriately identifying such territory
is: SNYDER ACRES NO. l,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Monday, April 14, 1952, at the
hour of eight o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall
in the City of Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the
place where the City Council will hear protests made by any person
owning real property within the aforesaid territory. All protests
must be filed as required by the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939.

I t~EREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meet-
ing thereof held on the 10th day of March, 1952, by the following vote:
