HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 18-52 RESOLUTION RESOLUTION OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY AND SETTING TIME FOR REARING THEREON. WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the 29th day of February, 1952, requesting that certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and included within the incorporated limits of the City of Bakersfield, and '- WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of one-fourth of the land, by area, and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Kern; and WHEREAS, the territory described in said petition is con- tiguous to the City of Bakersfield. NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, being Title ~, Division 2, Part 2, Chapter l, Article 5 of the Government Code of the State of California, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: That the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield, a~e more particularly described as follows: Said territory is generally described as that area situate in the S. W. 1/4 of the S. W. 1/4 and in the N. W. 1/4 of the S. W. 1/4 of Section 17, T. 29 S., R. 28 E., M. D. B. & M., County of Kern, State of California, the exterior boundaries of which are more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the corporate boundary of the 0ity of Bakersfield, California, which said point is formed by the pro- longation northerly of the easterly right of way line of Union Avenue of ll~.5 feet width, as said Union Avenue is shown and delineated on the Map of "Ardizzi Olcese Co. Annex to Kern City", Kern County, California, filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California, on the 16th day of July, 1907, on Page 102 in Book I of Maps, with the southerly right of way line of Monte Vista Drive, of 60 feet width, as said Monte Vista Drive is shown and delineated on the map of Tract No. 1609, filed for record in the office of the afore- said County Recorder on the 28th day of December, 1951, on Pages 184, 185 and 186, in Book 7 of Maps; thence North 16° 42' 01" East 62,275 feet to the point formed by the intersection of~the northerly right of way line of aforesaid Monte Vista Drive with the southeasterly right of way line of Panorama Drive, of ll0 feet width, as said Panorama Drive i's shown and delineated on aforesaid map of Tract No. 1609, last said point being on a circular curve of 945 feet radius, concave to the southeast and o East 945 feet from whose radial center bears South 78 52' 16" last said point; thence northeasterly along said circular curve form.ing the southeasterly right of way line of said Panorama Drive 751,667 feet to its point of tangency, whence whose radial center bears south 33° 17' 50" East a distance of 945 feet; thence North 56° 42' 10" East, continuing along said southeasterly right of way line of said Panorama Drive a distance of 949,015 feet to its point of intersection with the westerly right of way line of Loma Linda Drive, of 60 feet width, as said Loma Linda Drive is shown and delineated on aforesaid map of Tract No. 1609; thence South 0o 42' 50" East along said westerly right of way line of Loma Linda Drive a distance of 931,165 feet to a point in the corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield; thence continuing along the corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield the follow'ing courses and distances: North 89° 52' 35" West 300 feet; thence South 0° 42' 50" East 260 feet to a point in the southerly right of way line of aforesaid Monte Vista o west along last said right of Drive; thence North 89 52' 35" way line 932,923 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, containing 19,598 acres of land, more or less. That a designation appropriately identifying such territory is: LA CRESTAMANOR TRACT. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Monday, YAprill 7, 1952, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the place where the City Council will hear protests made by any person owning real property within the aforesaid territory. All protests must be filed as required by the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of March, 1952, by the following vote = City Clerk and Ex-0fficio Clerk of the Council of the City of Bakersfield.
