HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 29-51RESOLUTION NO. 29-~1 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING- THE NATUI~E, EXTENT AND LOCATION OF THE PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC USE iN PUBLIC IMPROVE~NT DISTRICT N0. 687 IN TE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, C ALI~ 0RNI A. BE IT RESOLVED by the:City Council of the City of Bakers- field, as follows: That this C'ouncil:proposes the acquisition of property for public use within the bo~undaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described. In connection therewith, this Council hereby finds and determines as follows, to wit: 1. That the nature, location and extent of such proposed consists of the acquisition~ acquisition/of all land necessary for the opening and extension of 26th Street ·between the Southern Pacific Company, s Gravel Pit Spur Track right of way and the U. S. Segregation Line, in the City of Bakersfield, California, said street to be 82.~ feet wide. That the property necessary to be acquired for said purpose is described as follows: A strip of land 82.~ feet in width lying southerly of and adjacent to the North line of Section 30, T. 29 S., R. 28 E., hv. D. ~. 8c M., and extending from the United States !Begrogation Line east to the center line of the Gravel Pit Spur of the Southern Pacific Railroa8 Compsny, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the ~vorth line of Section 30, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, ~,~i. D. ~. & ~-, 337.~ feet west of the Northeast corner thereof, said point being the center line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Comply' s riyht of way, commonly hewn and called the uGravel and so designated end shown upon 'NeD of. R8 E., M. D. B. & M., to the k~est line of Union .~venue; thence North ~ong the West line of Union Avenue 346.5 feet to the North line of Section 30, T. 29 S., R. 28 E., M. D. B.. & M., ~d the point of begi~ing, 3- That the nature, location and extent of the proposed acquisition is shown on that certain plat entitled "Plat Showing Proposed. 26th Street Opening Between S. P. Co. Gravel Pit Spur Right of Way end the U S. Segregation Line" approved by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, on May 14, ' 1951, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, which plat is hereby referred to ~nd by such reference made a part and portion hereof, and in this connection said plat. also shows the boundaries of the territory proposed to be assessed to pay the cost of said proposed acquisition. · = .4- That no amount or percentage is proposed to be paid toward the cost of such acquisition from any source other than special .assessments upon benefited property. %. That .the law und. er which the ~proceedings are to be con- ducted is the Street Opening Act of 1903, being Division 6, Part 1 of the Streets and Highwsys Code of the State of California. o00 ....
