A RESOLUTI Olq APPROVING PROPOSED ANNEXATi ON
OF ~I]qHABITED ~TERRITORY.
~HEREAS, certain persons are proposing to circulate petitions
and ~to commence. proceedings to annex certain inhabited territory to
the City of Bakersfield, Califor~nia, which. territory is or may be
known as Rose Gardens District, and is generally described as that
territory bounded on the north by the northerly line of Belle
Terrace, on the east by the westerly line of Kern Island Road,
on the south by the southerly line of Ring Avenue, and on the west
by the westerly line of the east one-half of the southeast one-
quarter of Section 1, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, H. D. B. ~: M.,
and the northerly and southerly prolongation thereof, and
WK~REAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield,
after investigation, has recommended that the cormmence~snt of pro-
ceedings to annex said territory to the City of Bakersfield, be
approve d.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Bakersfield hereby consents to the commencement of p~oceed-
ings and the circulation of petitions for the annexation of the
here inbe fore described territory to the City of B~d~ersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIH that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 12th day of March, 19~l, by the follow-
ing vote:
