A RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED ANItEXA-
TION OF INHABITED TERRITORY.
~HEREAS, certain persons are proposing to circulate petitions
and to commence proceedings to annex certain inhabited territory to
the City of Bakersfield, California, ~yhich territory. is or may be
known as the Borgwardt-Home Gardens District, and is generally de-
scribed as that territory bounded on the north by the northerly
line of East California Avenue, on the east bY the easterly line of
South King Street, on the south by the northerly line of Brundage
lane, and on the west by the westerly line of Union Avenue,. and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield,
after investigation, has recommended that the commencement of pro-
ceedings to annex said territory to the City of Bakersfield, be
approve d.
N0~Y, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Bakersfield hereby consents to the com~mencement of proceed-
ings and the circulation of petitions for the annexation of the
hereinbefore described territory to the City of Bakersfield.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that th l~:~foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at ~a regular
meeting thereof held on the 26th day of February, 19~l, by the
