A Ri~SOLUTION OF CONSEI,!T FOR THE HOUSII,~G AUTHORITY
OF THE COUNTY OF 'I~N TO OPERATE IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD
~REAS. the Housing Authority of the County of ~-ern has been duly author-
ized to exercise its powers under the Housing Authorities Law of the State of
California. and desires to operate in the Cit~y of Bakersfield~ sod
~9~EREAS, a Housing Authority has not been authorized to transact business
in the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS. Section 5 (f) of the Housing Authorities law of the State of
California prohibits the Housing Authority of the County of Kern from operating
in any city located in the County for which a local authority has not been author-
ized to transact business unless thel censeD. t of the governing body of such city
shall have been. obtained.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield
Section 1. That, pursuant to Section 5 (f) of the Housing A,uthorities Law
of the State of California. consent is hereby given to the Housing Authority of
the County of Kern to operate in the City of Bakersf~eld.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to fundsh the Housing
Authority of the County of Kern and appropriate officers and agencies of the
Federal Government with such certified copies of this Resolution as may be
necessary for their purposes.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take immediate effect upon its passage.
