BEST BIDDER.
~REAS~ at the time and place fixed for the opening of
bids for the $1 200 000 S~/~ER BONDS~ 1951~ of the City of Bakers-
field~ all bids were publicly 'opened~ examined and read~ and a
tabulation thereof has been entered in the m!nutes~ and.
~VHERE&S~ the bid of the bidder hereinafter .named is the
highest and best bid made by a responsible bidder for said bonds~
NOW~ T}EREFORE~ the Council of the City of Bakersfield~ DOES
HEREBY RE,S0LVE~ DETERT,~INE A!,~) ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the bid of Bank of &merica~ National Trust
and Savings Association and Associates offering par ~ accrued interest~
to date of delively and s .premimn of '~~8~1.00 for sai~ bonds to bear
interest at t.he rate of 11/2 per cent per annum payable semiannually
on bonds numbered 1 to 300 inclusive~. at the rate of 1 !/~.- per cent
per annum payable semiannually on bonds numbered 301 to %~.0 inclusive~.
and at the rate oi 11/2 per cent per annt~m~ payable :semiannua!!y
on bonds numbered ~41 to 1200 inclusive~ is the highest and best
bid for said bonds. Said bid is hereby accepted and the bonds
awarded to said bidder in accordance vlith the terms of its proposal.
Section 2. That s!l bids~ other than the one accepted in
Section 1 hereof~ are rejected and the Clerk is directed to return
the checks accompanying said rejected bids to the respective bidders.
Section 3. That the interest rates on said bonds be and they
are hereby fixed at the rates stated in Section 1 hereof.
