ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF A CERTAIN I,~UNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT AND I'~AKING FINDINGS RELATING THERETO. The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, DOES P]EREBY RESOLVE AND DETERP~INE as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and neces- sity demand the acquisition and construction by the City of Bakersfield of a certain municipal improvement, to wit: a sewage treatment plant, with main trunk sewers and outfall sewer leading thereto, together with the acquisition of all machinery, apparatus, appurtenances and other property neces- sary therefor. Section ~. That said municipal improvement is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects, pur- poses and powers of the City of Bakersfield. Section ~. That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is the sum of one million three hundred s eventy-four thous and five hundred do llars ($1, ~74,500.00 ). That said municipal improvement requires an expenditure greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual tax levy. That bonds of the City of Bakersfield in the principal sum of one million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,S00, O00.00) are proposed to be issued to pay part of the cost of said municipal improvement.
