of the Comity ~ecorder of ~e?n County, California, on the date herein-
after mentioned, a map of the City of Bakersfield, which map shows
certain public streets and alleys within the boundaries hereinafter
described; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said public streets and alleys have
not been accepted by user by the public~ formal action of the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, or otherwise, nor have said streets been
maintained as such by the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, a question has arisen as to whether the City of
Bakersfield or the public have any right, title and interest in and
to said public streets and alleys;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TI-E COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF B.[{ERSFIELD, that no public streets or alleys shown upon the map
of the City of Bakersfield filed November 18,' 1898, in Map Book l,
pages i3 and 14, and April 19, 1904, in Map Book l, page 13, in the
office of the county Recorder of Kern County, California, within the
following described boundaries are in use, nor has any offer to
dedicate the same been accepted~ and the City of Bakersfield does
hereby disclaim any right, title or interest in and to said public
streets and alleys or any of them:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the North line
of 24th Street and the East line of "D" Street; thence
North along the East line of "D" Street to the South line
of 26th Street; thence East along the South line of 26th
S~reet to the West line of "G" Street; thence south along
the West line of "G" Street to the North line of 24th
Street; thence West along the North line of 24th Street to
the point of beginning of this d6scription.
I HEREBY CERTIF/that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of BSkersfield at a regu-
lar meeting thereof held on.the ~l day of ~~) , 1949~
by the following vote:
