RESOLUTION .AUTHORIZING CITY TREASUER
TO INVEST FJELtC FUN]DS IN TREASURY
SAVINGS NOTES~ SERIES D.
WHEREAS, there is in the treasury of the City of Bakers-
field, surplus money in the amount of $100,000.00 not required
for the immediate necessities of said city, and
V~Y~tREAS, Act 2827 of Deering's General Laws, authorizes
the investment of such funds in treasury notes or bonds of the
United States.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, that the City Treasurer is hereby' authorized to
invest the aforementioned sum of $100,000.00'on behalf of the City
of Bakersfield in United'States Treasury Savings Notes,. Series D,
paying interest at the rate of 1.4%, and maturing in three years.

I, HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
